The Holocaust in Europe 2019

Welcome to the website for the Holocaust in Europe trip for Holocaust educators. Through this site, you can learn about the details of the trip, get information to sign up, and communicate with the group as we plan for our tour. The team at EF Tours and I have worked hard to plan a trip for you to experience some of the sites of World War II and the Holocaust, so you can tread in the places of memory that you teach about in your classroom.

We will journey through ghettos, concentration camps, memorials, and killing centers in Eastern Europe, where the past is always present and has implications for the future. Experience the old world charm of two of Europe’s most famous medieval cities which survived World War II, even though they are both connected to the darkest parts of human history in the twentieth century. Consider the role that the Allies played in stopping the suffering in these places by ending your journey on the beaches of Normandy seventy-five years after the historic landing that signaled the beginning of the end for Nazi Germany. Reflect with your colleagues on how to take what you have learned back to your classroom, transforming memory into action.

I hope that you can join us on this important journey into memory.
